This work is titled Modelling and Simulation of a Reversible Chemical Batch Reactor The results of the modelling and simulation of a reversible batch reactor is presented. The system of Ordinary Differential Equation arising from the modelling were simulated using the classical (4.4) Runge - Kutta method on a Matlab software. Reasonable values of the rate constants K1, K2, K3 and K4 were employed in the analysis. Aterations in the rate constant values ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 for k3 was employed to see its effect on other rate constants with initial concentration values of CA = 1.0. Results of the concentration profile shows that component A falls from 1.0 mol/dm-3 to 0.04mol/dm-3, component B from 0 to 0.53mol/dm-3 then drops, to 0.18mol/dm-3, and component C rises from 0.0 to a maximum value of 0.70mol/dm-3.

The main contribution of this work is illustrated as follows: 1- The derivation for embedded singly diagonally implicit Runge-Kutta (SDIRK) method of fourth-order six stages in fifth-order seven stages is introduced to solve ordinary and delay differential equations. The stability region is presented and the numerical results are compared with the other existing methods. 2- Singly diagonally implicit Runge-Kutta Nystróm (SDIRKN) of third-order three stages embedded in fourth-order four stages is constructed. The stability region of the new method is presented and numerical results are compared with the same method of lower order. 3- A new singly diagonally implicit Runge-Kutta-Nystróm general (SDIRKNG) method of third-order embedded in fourth-order is derived to solve second order ordinary differential equations. Analysis the stability region of the new method is discussed and numerical results are presented.

The study of Radiative heat transfer in a nanofluid with the influence of magnetic field over a stretching surface has been investigated numerically. This model is used for the laminar boundary layer flow of a nanofluid. This study is considered for two cases as steady and unsteady. Similar and non similar solutions are presented here. At first for the steady case the system of governing equation are transformed into nonlinear ordinary coupled differential equations. These equations are solved numerically using the Nactsheim-Swigert shooting iteration technique together with Runge-Kutta six order iteration scheme with the help of a computer programming language Compaq Visual Fortran 6.6a. Numerical results are obtained for the velocity, temperature and concentration distributions, as well as Skin-friction coefficient, Nusselt number and Sherwood number at the sheet. The obtained results are presented graphically and also in tabular form. After that, for the unsteady case, the governing equations have been non-dimensionalised by usual transformation. Numerical solutions for the velocity, temperature and concentration distributions are obtained for associated parameters.
